Bringing together ISI Web of Knowledge and EndNote

Researchers, scholarly writers, students, and librarians worldwide use ISI Web of KnowledgeSM to search and analyze the research literature — and EndNote® to find, organize and format their bibliographic references. In early 2006 these two powerful research tools will add value to each other by teaming up to deliver even more powerful search capabilities.
EndNote Web Express — available free to ISI Web of Knowledge users
Soon, ISI Web of Knowledge users will be able to access EndNote Web Express — a new version of EndNote completely integrated within the ISI Web of Knowledge platform and freely available to all subscribers via the personalization resource area.
This quick and easy tool will let ISI Web of Knowledge users save up to 1,000 references and print formatted reading lists in one of 10 popular styles. Users will be able to save references within the framework of ISI Web of Knowledge and export them to EndNote Web and EndNote for further and more sophisticated management and editing.
EndNote Web — the Web-based organizer and writing solution
Users will also be able to choose a full-featured Web option: EndNote Web. This resource will deliver a wide range of organizing, importing and formatting capabilities via the Web, plus enhanced capabilities using desktop plug-ins to browsers and word processors. Users can import references from hundreds of bibliographic databases — including ISI Web of Knowledge resources, PubMed® and hundreds of OPACs. EndNote Web also allows users to store and edit up to 10,000 records, format them in any of 1,300 bibliographic styles, and link their references back to ISI Web of Knowledge.
EndNote Web provides a quick and easy solution for bibliography management, for both occasional users and seasoned writers who are away from their desktop computer and/or EndNote. For example, EndNote Web is the ideal solution for the scholar who searches ISI Web of Knowledge and stores their cited references for a particular project or assignment over time. Their institutional subscription to EndNote Web allows the scholar to manage their references away from their desktop computer. They can access their reference collection at any time — on campus at an IP authenticated computer, at home, or from a hotel. EndNote Web allows users to format their papers in a number of styles or export to EndNote for further management.
New options available 2006
These new offerings expand the power of the industry standard EndNote, and offer new capabilities to ISI Web of Knowledge users. Together, ISI Web of Knowledge and EndNote are bringing a new level of flexibility and expertise to the research and bibliographic management process.
