Register now for ResearcherID.com: a world-class author community

January 2008

ResearcherID.com is a global, multi-disciplinary scholarly research community. Each researcher listed is allocated a unique identifier number which expressly associates them with their published works, regardless of any possible nomenclature confusion or institutional affiliation changes. These unique identifiers enable everyone who accesses ResearcherID.com to easily find a specific author's work, avoiding the common problem of author misidentification.

Using ResearcherID.com, users can create and manage their own publication list from Web of Science searches and Distinct Author Sets, and from uploaded files. ResearcherID.com allocates a persistent URL to each researcher: this is the place others will look when they are seeking relevant citations, collaborators, speakers, reviewers, and more. Users can control levels of privacy and access to their information.

Researchers can search the registry by last name, first initial combination or ResearcherID number. Keyword and institution are also available as additional search fields. Unicode (UTF8) support is available for the 'Other Names' field, enabling searches in multiple languages.

ResearcherID.com was integrated in the 4.1 release of ISI Web of Knowledge , and all users who have created a personalized login for ISI Web of Knowledge can now register to join the community.
