Southfield, MI USA - May 1, 2007 — Thomson Scientific today announced the introduction of Thomson IP ManagerSM, an integrated workflow solution providing end-to-end management of intellectual assets and enabling collaboration between groups in the innovation and product management life cycle.

Thomson IP Manager, the enterprise-level, browser-based successor to the earlier IPMaster software, continues to leverage industry standard technology, including Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases. Using Microsoft’s .NET framework, Thomson IP Manager offers an enhanced set of tools to help organizations further protect and manage their intellectual property assets. Thomson IP Manager offers a number of features to streamline the portfolio management process, including:

  • Flexible rules engine with business process integration features 
  • Broad automation capabilities, including email notifications and form letters
