Peter Steele graduated in chemistry and began working in patents information in 1969. Having studied information science at The City University, he became involved in the pharmaceutical industry, principally as manager of the intellectual property information function at Glaxo Holdings. In 1998, following seven years’ consultancy, Peter founded Current Patents, continuing in a current awareness managerial function as his company was acquired by Thomson Scientific in 2002. His professional involvement is focused on the Patent and Trade Mark Group, and on issues involving patent data analysis, especially in the context of competitive intelligence.

Peter is Editor of PATMG Searcher magazine and an Editorial Board member for World Patent Information (Elsevier).
