Victor Camlek is a veteran practitioner of market and competitor intelligence and information research. He has considerable experience leading market intelligence teams in the publishing and telecommunications industry. . Prior to joining Thomson Scientific, in 2001 Victor was a principal industry impact analyst and competitive analyst for Telcordia Technologies.  From 1989-1998 he was the director of the research analysis for the Telcordia (previously Bellcore) Information Research Center. In that role he was responsible for custom market and competitive research deliverables as well as client relations planning. He joined Bellcore in 1984 as an information research professional dedicated to research and analysis of competitive dynamics within the telecom marketplace and vertical markets of interest to the Regional Bell Operating Companies in the US.  Victor began his career with a variety of information professional positions at Mueser, Rutledge, Johnston & Desmone, CE, The Manhattan College Engineering Library and the Cabrini Medical Center. He has a masters degree in Library Science from Queens College of the City University of New York and a B.A. in Communications from Hunter College of the City University of New York
